Hi Marianne,
Try doing a simple search in EBSCOHost for "statistics". Then select the full text box and the box for scholarly, peer reviewed articles. This search will give you a long list of full text, research articles with statistics. Then you can either scroll through the list and look for something that interests you or you can narrow your results by selecting a subject link that is in the left side of the screen. Look for "Narrow your results by subject." You can also do a search for a topic and statistics.

I am having difficulty finding a interesting joural article that uses statistical techniques. I currently am taking the ASAP class statistics.

My instructor discussed how someone in his last class wrote a paper on horses on a deserted island.

Am I not using the web/journals properly? Please respond as soon as possibe. I'll check my e-mail daily.
                              Thanks- Marianne

If you're looking for journal articles, EBSCOHost is a good place to start. Within EBSCOHost is a collection of 20 databases. Academic Search Premier is the default database that you search unless you select others. Be sure to scroll down the list and see what EBSCO offers. For instance, OM students might be interested in also taking a look in the Business Source Premier database; Nursing students would want to search Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition; Criminal Justice students might prefer searching PsycARTICLES.
An important thing to remember is before you hit that SEARCH button, be sure to check the Full Text box that will limit your search to Full Text Articles.
If you are interested in scholarly or academic articles, be sure to check the Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Box.
